  • Developmental Evaluations (birth to age 5)

Children develop at varying rates. Sometimes, parents may question if their child’s development is lagging behind that of other children. A developmental evaluation assesses the five core areas of development (language, adaptive, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional). Some common concerns include autism spectrum disorder and general developmental delay.

  • Psychological Evalutions (ages 5 & up)

People seek evaluations for a variety of reasons. Psychological evaluations are focused on identifying behavioral problems; differentiating between anxiety, depression and ADHD; identifying learning disorders; concerns about autism spectrum disorder, among others.

Psychological evaluations are effective in gathering the most important, identifying accurate and active diagnoses, and developing a comprehensive treatment plan to best meet your child’s needs.

  • Psychoeducational Evaluations (age 5 to young adult)

The standardized testing results can be used to identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses and identify. Information from this evaluation will help identify treatment/ interventions best suited for your child and classroom accommodations that may improve your child’s school experience. This information is also helpful for determining your child’s eligibility for special education services.

  • Individual therapy affords children and adolescents a one-to-one, safe space to express their struggles. While privacy is the basis of such a relationship, individual therapy does not always involve strict confidentiality. The limits of confidentially will be clearly explained and agreed upon before starting services.

  • Family therapy with parents and children is a type of therapy that helps to improve communication, resolve conflict, and work toward achieving mutual goals. Family therapy may include all family members, select family members, or those willing to participate.
