Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
No. We are a self-pay provider. This means the full fee for our service is due at the time of the appointment. You will pay for the sessions as they are provided. You may choose to submit claims to your insurance company. In this case, we will provide you with service bills (super bills) that include everything you need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Though we do not take insurance directly, many plans will cover a portion of the fees using out-of-network (OON) benefits. Please know we do not accept payment from your insurance company. We do not have contact with your insurance company.
How much will I get reimbursed?
Reimbursement rates vary based on your specific plan of coverage and insurance carrier. We would recommend contacting your insurer prior to initiating service. If you call the number on the back of your insurance card, a dedicated customer service representative can provide you more information about your mental and behavioral health benefits. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, please contact your insurance company and inquire about your coverage.
Do you offer virtual/ telepsychology appointments?
Yes! Services are offered virtually through telepsychology.
Is telepsychology as effective as in-person?
Yes! Both modes of mental and behavioral health offer effective care. Telepsychology, especially through PsyPact, can help to reduce the burden of traveling to an in-person location and help improve access to care. Telepsychology helps to ensure children and their families receive the proper care in the comfort of their own home.
Where are you licensed to practice?
I am licensed in Tennessee and Maine. I also possess a license to practice telepsychology in 40 states nationwide, with the list of PsyPact states growing rapidly! To see a list of current participating PSYPACT states, please visit https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap.
